About Ken

Who is Ken: Educated and trained as a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, I have worked in the mental health and substance abuse fields for over 28 years as both a clinician and as an administrator.  Integrating my 20 years of experience as a personal trainer with my education and professional experience, I recognize and appreciate the importance of activity and the relationship between the mind, body and spirit.

What does Coach Ken Do?

People have different needs and goals.  Using Therapeutic Life Coaching I help people meet their needs and achieve their goals.  Together, we remove obstacles and identify resources.  Clients might need information or motivation.  Both are provided.  Life Coaching is the ACTION part of the client’s program, complementing therapy, 12-Step, and other established modes of support.

Clients get stuck in unconscious patterns.  With my synthesized approach, which I call Cross-Coaching, I provide Therapeutic Life Coaching to help clients separate what has happened in their past from who they are and motivate them to what they are capable of achieving and experiencing in the future.

What Makes Coach Ken Different?

The combination of having a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, experience as a personal trainer for over 20 years, and life experience drives my comprehensive Cross-Coaching approach that will help people shift from feelings of helplessness and anxiety to ones of hopefulness and optimism.

Who Benefits from Life Coaching?

Everyone.  But specifically, people who can’t seem to break the negative/cycles or patterns.  People who have mental health, addiction, life transitions, employment, school challenges.  People who have tried traditional medical or therapeutic modalities and need a Coach to work with them and help them follow through on the recommendations from the rest of the team or from family members.  Rest assured, although one or two areas may be focused on initially, transforming other areas of life will happen synergistically.  It is holistic approach so you will grow, change, across multiple domains.

What can I expect from working with Coach Ken?

Change!  Clients report feeling more confident, centered, grounded, and able to tackle life’s issues with less difficulty.  Clients also state they feel much better physically and have more energy.
